FES Thursday Message - 7th Edition

October 15, 2026

Quiet Week at FES...

This week has been a quiet week at Freetown Elementary School after a fun-filled Fun Run last week. This pause in events has given our students the opportunity to get refocused on our school wide-expectations of being respectful, responsible, and safe. Each day students take the Freetown Fox Pledge to be the best possible student they can be. We are proud of our students as we have settled nicely into the beginning of the school year.

A Special THANK YOU to the Venture Family!

Freetown Elementary School would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Ventura Family for their generous donation and the re-emergence of a the Outdoor FES Library located outside our main entrance!

Bringing back this wonderful library to our school community is a beautiful reminder that small acts of kindness can create a positive ripple effect that reaches far beyond our school walls.

The purpose of our outdoor library is simple yet powerful: to encourage a love of reading, promote literacy, and make books accessible to everyone in our community.

Reading opens doors to imagination, curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning. By making books available to students, families, and community members, this special library provides another opportunity to share the joy of reading with others.

How does it work? It's easy!

📖 Take a Book: Find a book that interests you and bring it home to enjoy!

📚 Share a Book: Have a book at home that you have already enjoyed? Consider leaving it in the library for someone else to discover.

❤️ Spread the Joy: Read together as a family, explore a new author, discover a new favorite, and encourage others to do the same!

The idea is simple: take a book, share a book, and help keep the joy of reading going. Everyone is welcome to participate, and every book shared is another opportunity to inspire a reader.

The Ventura Family's generosity has given FES something truly special. This outdoor library is more than a place to find a book; it is an opportunity to strengthen connections, support literacy, and remind our students that our community believes in them and their future.

On behalf of the entire FES community, thank you, Ventura Family, for helping us create a better tomorrow, one book at a time!
